Basic Function

To provide specialized services to patients for the diagnosis and management of diseases of the skin and appendages.


The work is in Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Specialty Medicine Unit in Dhahran with occasional clinics as needed in the districts.

Work hours are assigned to meet operational needs of the assigned area.

The Dermatologist is a staff member of the Specialty Medicine Service in the Division of Specialty Services. The main responsibility is in the outpatient department providing consultation services to patients with skin diseases for Adults & Pediatrics.  Mostly Outpatient but consultation services are also provided to the inpatient services. Works under the professional supervision of the Unit Head of the Specialty Medicine Unit.

Principal Contacts

Has daily contact with patients, their families, nurses and other physicians. Is a member of a team for the purpose of providing care to patients with skin disorders/diseases for Adults & Pediatrics.

Principal Duties

  To perform the professional duties of a Dermatologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended by the Chief of Specialty Services and approved by the Credential Committee.

  • To perform duties in the Dermatology Outpatient Clinic, evaluating patients with skin diseases on a daily basis.
  • To provide consultation service to inpatients in the area of expertise
  • Provides on-call emergency coverage for dermatologic emergencies.
  • Performs the dermatologic procedures e.g. PUVA therapy, skin biopsy, cryosurgery, excision, and laser treatment etc.
  • Participates in Committees as needed.
  • Participates in any Staff Meetings of Specialty Medicine Unit.
  • Participation in the Quality Assurance Program, e.g. chart review and peer review.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Chief of Service.


Two (2) years of practice in the field of Dermatology


Other requirements as applicable

  • Excellent command of oral and written English.
  • Ability to adjust to group practice in an Industrial environment
