Job Description Summary
The Health Physics Consultant performs advance level activities of the implementation, coordination, and day.-to.-day of the radiation safety program in all JHAH facilities.
Directly works as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)/Health physicist.

- Obtain and maintain all necessary radiation practice licenses and permits from the applicable regularity authorities
- Support in all radiation safety routine and nonroutine work activities and survey program
- Ensureperform implementation of the radiation risk assessmentinvestigation
- Ensure perform implementation of radiation shielding assessment for radiological facilities
- EnsureRespond to radiological emergencies
Minimum Education Required
Master degree in health physics, medical physics, radiation physics or nuclear engineering, from an accredited university
PhD in health physics, medical physics, radiation physics or nuclear engineering from an accredited university is preferred
Professional Certifications Required
Radiation Safety Officer license from Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC) in different health practices.
U.S. board certification American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or American Board of Health Physics (ABHP) is preferred.
Years of Experience
Minimum 20 years of direct experience in (healthcare based) health physics and radiation safety, (15 years post Master)
