Job Description Summary

The Senior Clinical Engineering Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of medical equipment. Receive work direction through the Team leaders and/or Managers.

  • Oversee and guide Clinical Engineers to ensure best practices enhance compliance and reduce risks in the business unit

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform prepurchase technical evaluation and product comparisons review analyze and provide recommendation for equipment packages received from vendor based on their requirements and provide draft technical packages with recommendations to Supply Chain Management
  • Coordinate with medical and nursing staff in the development of technical and performance specifications for equipment for requirements of new technology
  • Supervise and lead team for routine operational tasks Day to Day operational such as inspecting and ensuring the readiness of equipment for clinical use This includes supporting the operational needs of departments by maintaining functionality and addressing equipment issues quickly
  • Perform preventive maintenance repairs calibrate tests and records results and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation being used at JHAH

Minimum Education Required

B.S. degree in Bio Medical or Clinical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology is required.

Professional Certifications Required

Saudi Council of Engineers certificate or Saudi of Health Specialty

Years of Experience

Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a healthcare system.
