Job Description Summary
The Senior ERM AND Patient Safety Professional collaborate in managing an effective occurrence reporting process within the healthcare organization, ensuring all reported events are thoroughly reviewed, investigated, and actioned. The senior Professional is responsible for conducting proactive risk assessments, identifying potential hazards in the process, and completing Failure Mode AND Effect Analysis and Root Cause Analyses. The senior Professional ensures compliance with risk management and patient safety.-related standards and participates in relevant committees’ task forces.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive risk assessment and identifies potential hazards on all newhighrisk processes and systems within the hospital and recommends risk prevention strategies
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effect Analysis FMEA based on the risk prevention priorities identified
- Responsible for all Root Cause Analyses RCA as per the hospital policy
- Perform the duties necessary to support and achieve risk management and patient safety needs and standards and ensure that the facility is in compliance with all government and local laws and accreditation standards
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures and perform other assigned tasks and duties
- Facilitates hospital compliance with patient safetyrelated accreditation standards
- Document monitor and analyze patient safety events and put an action plan to prevent reoccurrence
- Manage the event reporting process as designed within the hospital Ensure all reported events are analyzed reviewed corrected and actioned
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing, or any healthcare science/ allied health.
Professional Certifications Required
REQUIRED:
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
PREFERRED:
Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) / Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM).
Years of Experience
Minimum 6 years of clinical working experience within an accredited healthcare facility, with a minimum of 3 years focused on quality improvement and patient safety within the quality department and a minimum of 1 year in risk management.
