Job Description Summary

The Senior Mammo Imaging Technologist obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses patient concerns as well as performs routine screening, diagnostic mammography and breast ultrasound in accordance with established practices and procedures, to ensure compliance with safety, environmental and infection control standards and participates in training and development and quality control activities

    Operational Roles & Responsibilities

    • Review history and prior exams perform breast Screening Diagnostic and ultrasound exams and assist the radiologist in breast biopsies
    • Oversee the training and development of interns and junior technologist related to advanced exams and procedures
    • Review orders and plan for scheduling call backs and biopsies in a timely manner
    • Participate in all areas activities to maintain efficient operation equipment calibration troubleshooting quality control supplies and any other operational activity assigned by manager

    Minimum Education Required

    Bachelor Degree in Radiologic Science OR Master’s degree in Radiologic Science with a Minimum of 6 years' Mammo Imaging experience

    Professional Certifications Required

    SCFHS Certification

    Years of Experience

    Minimum 8 years' experience in Mammo Imaging Technology

    Languages

    English:Advanced ; Arabic:Basic
