Job Description Summary
The Senior Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing medication related operational support within the pharmacy. Key duties include data entry, organizing and stocking medication shelves, labelling and documentation of medications for unit dose distribution and/or outpatient bulk distribution, repacking medication dosage forms under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, compounding sterile/ non sterile preparations under the supervision of a pharmacist, replenishing medications through Automated Drug Dispensing (ADD) Machines, transporting and supplying Pharmaceuticals in an efficient and accountable manner throughout JHAH units, and providing unit based stock management and inventory support. Senior Pharmacy Tech must also maintain and coordinate as troubleshooter for ADD machines and conduct unit inspections to check safe medication storage.

- Participate in JHAH pharmacy community awareness activities to enhance advancement of JHAH pharmacy profession
- Assist in the development of contingency plans and emergency preparedness strategies for the pharmacy department

- Provide medication stock related administrative coordinator functionalities including documentation reporting accurate recordkeeping system transfer and other related duties within the pharmacy to support the overall workflow
- Provide support for maintaining appropriate stock levels of medications and supplies by ensuring timely filling reporting on stock levels and coordinating with the pharmacy and supply chain teams to ensure efficient inventory management
- Provide Medication Stocking and Distribution functionalities for organizing and stocking medication shelves labeling and documenting medications for unit dose distribution andor outpatient bulk distribution and replenishing medications through Automated Drug Dispensing ADD Machines
- Ensure efficient and accountable transport and supply of pharmaceuticals throughout the healthcare facility
- Repack medication dosage forms and compound sterilenon sterile preparations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Maintain and coordinate Automated Dispensing Machine troubleshooting and support functionalities and other patient care related functionalities mandated by operational need or manager directives
Minimum Education Required
Pharmacy Diploma Degree (minimum of three year’s academy course after High school) by recognized Saudi Arab Government Health Institute or equivalent
Professional Certifications Required
SCFHS license
Years of Experience
Minimum 6 years experience in related field
