Job Description Summary

The Senior ERM AND Patient Safety Professional collaborate in managing an effective occurrence reporting process within the healthcare organization, ensuring all reported events are thoroughly reviewed, investigated, and actioned. The senior Professional is responsible for conducting proactive risk assessments, identifying potential hazards in the process, and completing Failure Mode AND Effect Analysis and Root Cause Analyses. Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing, or any healthcare science/ allied health.

Professional Certifications Required

REQUIRED: Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). PREFERRED: Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) / Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM).

Years of Experience

Minimum 6 years of clinical working experience within an accredited healthcare facility, with a minimum of 3 years focused on quality improvement and patient safety within the quality department and a minimum of 1 year in risk management.
