Basic Function

An Senior Project Engineer provides technical specifications for the projects through illustrations and application of essential engineering skills. He is a professional who utilizes his knowledge by promoting real life applications through reviews and monitoring the project progress in a way to meet quality assurance standards.

Scope

The work is in Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, Facility Support Services Department, in Dhahran and in Districts (Al Hasa, Udhadiliyah, Ras Tanura, and Abqaiq).  The selected candidate will work as Associate Project Engineer for Project Management Team.

Principal Contacts

Works with a team of professional engineers, service providers and contractor in addition to Unit/Department level leaders.

Principal Duties
  1. Manage a range of business projects from feasibility, justification through to commissioning
  2. Ensure that these are run to the highest Health, Safety and Environmental standards with appropriate documentation and records in place.
  3. Utilize internal and external contract resources to deliver projects to agreed timescale, KPIs and budget
  4. Communicate regular updates and variances to the wider business.
  5. Support in running project meetings and be the focal point for project details and costs
  6. Identify potential future projects and improvements that will drive business performance
  7. Ensure that all projects include updated drawings, training arrangements, PM plans and spares as part of the package
  8. Review and feedback on Engineers and Contract companies employed to ensure that service improves and issues are dealt with quickly and appropriately
  9. Advice and search for alternatives that may function as specified materials and of better prices
  10. Ensure that effective pre-design consultation takes place with managers, users and maintainers of equipment so that projects deliver high standards of hygiene, ergonomics and safety. This should continue during project reviews if design changes are required.
Education

Bachelor Degree in Project Management

Experience

Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management

Certifications/Other requirements as applicable
  • Must have excellent understanding of international codes and standards applied like AIA, NFPA,UBC, ASHE, JCIA
  • Must have working knowledge of CADD software such as Bentley Microstation and 'AutoCAD'
  • Ability to speak and write reports in English is required
