Senior Warehouse Operator

Basic Function

The role’s purpose is to direct and coordinate all warehouse activities to ensure proper delivery material and control and accuracy of the warehouse inventory for Clinical OR non- Clinical materials


The warehouse manager will lead the coordination of warehouse activities to ensure proper delivery of material to the end users. He/She will be in charge of directing all activities related to warehousing operations and administration for materials, including:

  • Ordering, receiving, processing, recording and distributing supplies and materials
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed records and files
  • Supporting team in assuring the quality of material
  • Planning, supervising and controlling warehousing activities for all materials

Internal interactions:

  • Regularly with warehouse coordinator and internal logistics manager to align on performance targets and resolve issues
  • Regularly with end users for materials issue and return
  • Regularly with Inventory manager to agree on required inventory levels
  • Regularly with the logistic manager to agree delivery date and volume of received materials

Principal Duties

Main duties are as following:

Leadership and Management Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Warehousing Coordinators and develop their skills by managing and developing talent
  • Supervise activities performed by the team members, and handle administrative HR topics when required.
  • Mentor junior resources, evaluate performance, provide guidance and counseling on career development, identify skill development needs and encourage team members to fulfill them.
  • Contribute to recruitment of junior resources.
  • Interact with stakeholders across the organization to ensure strategic goals  are achieved (e.g. defining the SC Business Plan, improvement initiatives)

Operational Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct Manage warehousing activities to ensure that:
  1. materials are properly received, processed, stored and recorded
  2. Inventory information is continuously and accurately updated
  3. internal and external stakeholders are coordinating to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Liaise with Material management team to align on overall needs
  • Ensure that inventory information is updated and in line with requirements
  • Oversees inventory counting cycles
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of material movement in SAP and monitor regular updating for all transactions
  • Support team in responding to users enquiries and resolve problems in accordance to procedures
  • Support development of the material fulfillment strategy and plan
  • Identify initiatives to improve material fulfillment strategy and planning
  • Attend routine organizational and department meetings.
  • Meet established department KPI, SLA and individual annual goals and metrics.
  • Maintain all safety and security measures per organizational policies.


  • Diploma in business of equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.


Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in inventory management/material handling

Certifications/Other requirements as applicable

  • Good knowledge of warehousing operations and administration activities
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or equivalent system
  • Advanced skills in MS Word & Excel. Basic functionality in MS Access is preferred
  • Financial and analytical acumen
