Basic Function

Health Promotion program coordinator acts as project manager, committee chair/consultant for divisional or departmental projects. He/she manages the departmental strategic planning aligned with mission and vision of the organization.  He/she is responsible for identification and strengthen community/population capacities to take action on health issues.  The Health promotion program coordinator establishes and maintains partnerships, with JHAH, Saudi Aramco, network providers key leaders and population health management stakeholders.


The Health Promotion is contribute to development of key values and shared vision in planning and implementing health promotion strategies.  This position will primarily work with JHAH and contracted network providers, and may include other collaborative agencies such as Ministry of Health, Kingdom-wide when directed.

Principal Contacts

INTERNAL: Daily with Supervisor, and periodic with Population Health personnel having dealings with the individual or group assigned to receive and give information.

EXTERNAL: Occasional with Saudi Aramco departments, Medical designated facilities, community agencies and Ministry of Health organizations.

Principal Duties

  1. Develops  key values and shared visions in planning and implementing health promotion strategies for population/community
  2. Provides evidence informed decision making regarding population health management initiatives by applying advanced knowledge of population health/public health strategie
  3. Provides an expert guidance on the development and implementation of health promotion programs, policies, processes and evaluation tools and acts as a lead in research evidence review process.
  4. Supervises or participates in inter-divisional efforts to implement and monitor departmental programs and projects.
  5. Responds competently to high priority and complex assignments that may include consultation with Medical Officers of Health and directors
  6. Assists management by providing work direction, recommendation and essential training
  7. Develops and maintains relationship/partnership and work collaborative with communities/population and providers
  8. Recognize priorities and maximize outcomes based on available resources.
  9. Provides recommendation on required resources for population health management strategies.  
  10. Ensure Applying culturally-relevant and appropriate approaches with people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational backgrounds, population of all ages, genders, and health status.
  11. Ability to work with a high degree of independence with minimal supervision and competence to establish priorities and balance multiple projects
  12. Follows legislation and internal policies and procedures


Master of Public Health/Population Health Management.


Minimum  12 years of health promotion experience/Public health/Population Health Management.

Certifications/Other requirements as applicable

  • Strong knowledge in qualitative and quantitative research methods and analytical skills including critical appraisal and appropriate use of evidence
  • Knowledge and experience in developing research strategies and assessing, determining relevance, critically appraising and analyzing evidence
  • Able to work in an interdisciplinary setting with a variety of management levels and  corporate, community, and other stakeholders
  • Able to work with a high degree of independence and competence to establish  priorities and balance multiple projects
  • Experience in informing policy development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and apply knowledge transfer strategies for a variety of audiences
  • Strong facilitation, project management, partnership/collaboration, planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
